No Fear Moto X America Tour Red, White, & Bruised Featured Rider: Coleton Thorton

The sport of motocross is one of the most grueling, challenging and physically demanding sports known to man. It's also a sport that requires a remarkable amount of courage as no other form of racing demands that man and machine work in complete harmony if they are to achieve maximum performance. So, imagine - if you can - having to race motocross with just one hand. That's exactly what 12 year-old Coleton Thorton of Oregon does with his Honda CRF150. Born without a left hand, Colton uses his wrist to hold onto his race bike, and with a lot of heart and soul, proved this wasn't something that was going to hold him back when he took to the track at the recent No Fear Moto-X America Tour "Red, White & Bruised" event at the Albany MX Park in Oregon. Aboard the #526 Honda, Coleton, who uses his strong work ethic to train, work himself into excellent physical condition, and to improve his racing skills, performed admirably, now hoping to compete in as many races as possible this summer. Although he's only 12 years-old, Colton has designs on becoming a professional motocrosser (like his hero, Kevin Windham). And for whatever reason that doesn't work out, Colton plans to hit the books and use the same determination he does in MX to become an ace real estate agent and rake in the cash so he can raise a family and buy as many cars and motorcycles as he wants. Sounds like a good plan to us! And certainly one worth sticking to. Good work, Colton!
